The poster still needed a clear first read before the smaller marks and details started competing for attention.
Sleepless Dream is a hand-drawn movie-poster composition piece. The project was less about building a perfectly controlled identity system and more about letting an image develop through drawing, layering and composition.
That freedom is part of what made it exciting. Instead of forcing every decision into a clean digital structure, the drawing could get strange, dense, imperfect and more personal.

A dense poster can fail fast. The eye still needs a path through the drawing, even when the image is intentionally busy.
Detail / Entry point
Detail / Layering
Detail / BalanceWorking by hand brings back a different kind of problem solving. A line does not have to be perfectly repeated. A shape can become useful because of an accident. The composition can grow instead of being completely planned before it starts.
For us, that was the most exciting part of Sleepless Dream: getting back into free drawing and letting instinct have more room in the final piece.
The challenge was adding detail without losing the main composition.
The poster still needed a clear first read before the smaller marks and details started competing for attention.
More drawing creates more visual weight. The composition had to stay active without turning into noise.
Hand drawing makes it easy to keep going. Part of the design was knowing when another mark helped—and when it did not.
