An intro that sounds like Tony.

Tony Dowe, the voice behind TD Phins Talk and a co-founder of Roundtable Sports, brings big reactions, comic timing and real conviction to Dolphins talk. His older intro wasn’t carrying the same energy. We saw an opportunity to make the opening as distinctive as the person behind the microphone.

The brief was to separate his show from the familiar sports-intro formula. Funny, light on its feet and fiercely passionate: an opening that belongs to TD.

Dolphins debate meets character selection.

We started with a video-game idea: “Choose Your Character.” Tua, Tannehill, Flores, TD and McDaniel become part of an arcade-style lineup, with TD taking the selected slot. Bold display type, a glowing selection frame and game-inspired stat bars introduce the show as its own playable world.

TD’s love-hate relationship with Tua Tagovailoa and Mike McDaniel gave the concept its comic tension. Those familiar fan arguments become part of the visual language: opinionated, self-aware and ready for the next round.

The film on laptop and iPhone.

The laptop and portrait iPhone show the film at two viewing sizes. The mobile layout keeps the video in its original proportions, with the same orange-and-blue identity and a clear, readable presentation.

Editing around Tony’s personality.

The film moves from the arcade opener into TD’s expressive on-camera moments, Dolphins plays and collectible-style player cards. Those changes in scale and pace make room for humor as well as the intensity of being a fan. The finish brings it back to the TD Phins Talk identity, set against Miami’s skyline with aqua and orange energy.

Keeping TD’s orange-and-blue palette was essential. We carried those colors through the character selection, player cards and Miami finish, preserving the bold contrast and movement that give his brand its energy. The aim was to improve the intro’s pacing and clarity while keeping his humor, passion and personality intact.

The creative direction favored wit, momentum and recognizable personality over the standard hard-rock sports treatment. Every cut had to earn its place in TD’s world.

The finished TD Phins Talk intro.

A finished show intro that connects the host, the football and the running debate in one visual world. Built to make the show immediately recognizable, with enough humor and heart to match the energy that follows.
